In between two ends of a phone call, the two parties’ conversation is re-made into sound waves that travel over a simple tin can phone. This man-in-the-middle attack, realized as an installation, makes the vulnerability of today’s means of communication visible and audible. In 2005, you could request to make calls on this device via a web interface.
